Alliance for a Cavity Free Future (ACFF)

The Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future is a worldwide group of experts who have joined together to promote integrated clinical and public health action in order to stop caries initiation and progression in order to move towards a Cavity-Free Future for all age groups. Overall, the group believes that global collaborative action is needed to challenge global leaders and other regional and local stakeholders to learn the importance of caries as a disease continuum and to participate in action toward the delivery of comprehensive caries prevention and management that can positively influence the continuing problem of caries. By working together on a global, regional and local level, the Alliance challenges these stakeholders to stop caries NOW for the opportunity to have a Cavity-Free Future.

Read our declaration to join the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future and make a collective commitment to take action and elevate the importance of caries prevention and management as a global health issue.

The D3 Group (D3G)

Welcome to The D3 Group (D3G) and our Online Education Resource. Formally we are a translational research network spanning the Developmental Dental Defects (DDD = D3) sector in Australia and New Zealand. But actually we are an eclectic bunch of individuals whose lives have been touched by D3 problems one way or another. Some of our families have experienced D3 first hand, many of us care for people with D3 either as dental practitioners or public health professionals, and many others are engaged in D3 research and education. We are also pleased to have a growing number of medicos and D3-savvy folk from industry amongst us.

National Oral Health Alliance (NOHA)

The National Oral Health Alliance (NOHA) represents community, dental and health organisations seeking solutions to the poor access to services and oral health outcomes experienced by many Australians. We seek commitments from all Parties in this year’s Federal election campaign to undertake clear, direct and effective action to address key priorities in oral health. An improved oral health system will be part of a more equitable and more effective health system.

National Oral Health Plan (NOHP)

Australia’s first Oral Health Plan “Healthy Mouths Healthy Lives” was developed in 2004. The purpose of the plan is to improve the health and well-being across the Australian population by improving oral health (healthy mouths, teeth and gums) and reducing the burden of oral disease. The plan is due for revision in 2013. Whether you live in a metropolitan, rural or remote area, whether you are young or old, have small children or adolescents, having a healthy mouth with good teeth is very important to overall health and well-being. The National Oral Health Plan builds bi-partisan support in all States and Territories for improving timely and affordable access to oral health care for all Australians.
