Hands on Workshop 1: An introduction to aesthetic anterior composites By Dr. Sam Koh (Limit 20) In this fast-paced hands-on workshop, Dr. Sam will discuss how OHT's can start feeling confident in providing a predictable, efficient and aesthetic anterior composite restoration for their patients. Topics that will be covered in this 3hr workshop include: - Direct composite bonding: protocols and tips to get predictable stable bonding each time - Shade matching selection to be able to blend for seamless margin and a good colour match - Isolation techniques and choosing the right strip/band and wedge - Composite polishing 101 Participants will complete an interproximal anterior restoration on a model in the 3hr session. Dr. Sam Koh is a Melbourne-based dentist, graduating from The University of Melbourne with First Class Honours. As the Director and Principal Dentist of Dental Boutique Mornington, his special interests are in Cosmetic and Implant dentistry. Workshop 2: Perfecting The Posterior Restoration By Mrs. Paulette Smith (Limit 20) This course will provide clinical information on material selection options and placement techniques for posterior restorations, including simple solutions for managing the challenges of adhesive dentistry. Participants will complete both class I and class II posterior restorations utilising a combination of new glass hybrid materials and next generation resin adhesive and composite materials. Paulette Smith graduated from the University of Adelaide with an Advanced Diploma in Dental Therapy (high distinction) and has spent over Twelve years working in both private practice and in the public sector, with a focus on preventive dentistry and oral health education. Paulette joined GC Australasia Dental over ten years ago in a sales and clinical education training role including facilitating hands on workshops.
