This lecture delves into the transformative role of 3D-printed, implant-supported orthodontic appliances, a cutting-edge advancement in the field of orthodontics. Emphasising their clinical applications, the presentation will explore how these innovative devices address complex orthodontic challenges in patients of all ages - from children to adults.

About Dr Siva Vasudavan, Orthodontist 

BDSc (W.Aust) | MDSc (Orthodontics)(Sydney) | MPH (Harvard) Cert. Craniofacial & Cleft Lip/Palate Orthodontics (Harvard/Boston Childrens Hospital) | M Orth RCS (Edinburgh) | MRACDS (Ortho) | FDS RCS (Edinburgh)

Dr Sivabalan Vasudavan graduated from the University of Western Australia School of Dentistry, and worked as a Registrar in Paediatric Dentistry at Princess Margaret Hospital for several years. Siva completed Specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney, and was selected as the Inaugural Fellow in the two-year Fellowship program in Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodontics at Boston Children's Hospital. He concurrently completed a Master of Public Health degree, graduating from the Harvard School of Public Health at Harvard University. Siva commenced specialist private practice upon his return to his hometown of Perth nearly fifteen years ago and established his offices, Orthodontics on Berrigan in Jandakot, and Orthodontics on St. Quentin in Claremont.

Siva's co-authored a textbook in Orthodontic Biomechanics, several chapters in various orthodontic and medical textbooks, and contributed over 30 publications to the scientific peer-reviewed literature. Beyond the rigors of professional life, Siva spends his spare time with his family of three children, engaging in their sporting interests and pursuits. Siva's an avid basketballer and snowboarder, and held a long-term interest in various mixed martial arts. Siva's hoping to complete a few more marathons before his knees decide otherwise.
