Course Delivery Method

The course is a mixture of online pre-recorded sessions, interactive Zoom lectures, and a 3-day workshop of simulated practice.

  • Session 1: Monday 14 October 2024 6:00pm-7:15pm AEST
  • Session 2: Wednesday 16 October 2024 6:00pm-7:30pm AEST
  • Session 3: Tuesday 22 October 2024 6:00pm-7:30pm AEST
  • Session 4: Wednesday 30 October 2024 6:00pm-7:30pm AEST
  • Session 5: Thursday 31 October 2024 6:00pm-7:30pm AEST

Simulation practice

Date: Wednesday 6 - Friday 8 November 2024

Time: 8.30am - 5.00pm

Location: Sydney Bligh St Simulation Clinic

Participants will have three days to practice their restorative skills and will be provided with instruments and a Columbia Typodont Model for use within the University of Sydney Simulation Clinic. Participants may be required to purchase more plastic teeth to practice from the vending machine, which is available at the simulation premises.

Simulation safety protocol

All participants are required to follow the simulation practice protocol.

  • Protective eyewear
  • Protective footwear
  • Protective clothing
  • Infection control
The simulation component of this course is a mandatory requirement to obtain a certificate of completion for this course. 

Course pre-requisites

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Relevant undergraduate degree
  • Professional indemnity insurance
  • Minimum 3 years of practical dental experience
  • Statutory Declaration of practice currency

Please note – we can only accept candidates who have no restrictions on clinical practice.

The simulation component of this course is a mandatory requirement to obtain a certificate of completion for this course.
