Join us for dinner at the Southern Cross Yacht Club with Audiologist Dr Bill Vass.

The ADOHTA NSW-ACT Branch and DHAA ACT Committee invites you to this joint dinner event at the Southern Cross Yacht Club hosting Audiologist Dr Bill Vass to assist you in protecting your hearing clinically.

Two-course dinner included; BYO drinks.

Learning Objectives:

  • How we hear and the effects of hearing loss on communication.
  • The dangers of noise-induced hearing loss from dental drills and equipment.
  • What to do if you or a colleague suspects they have hearing loss.
  • Recognise hearing loss in patients and how to communicate with hearing-impaired patients.

About Audiologist Dr Bill Vass

With over 35 years of professional experience, Dr William Vass is a strong advocate for ethical, independent practices. He is passionate about a solutions-based approach to hearing health and founded the Dr Vass Hearing practice based on this belief.

Dr Vass graduated from West Virginia University in 1969 with a Master of Science in Audiology. In 1979, he established his first clinical practice in the United States. From 1986, Dr Vass worked for Starkey International in their Technical Lab and Research Department. In 1994 he moved to Canberra to practise audiology, and in 2008 completed his Doctorate of Audiology, establishing him as one of the twenty-two Doctors of Audiology in Australia. Dr Vass is also a founding member and fellow of the Australian College of Audiologists, an association dedicated to promoting and developing the science and practise standards of hearing care.

He currently serves on its Executive and Education Committees. He also lectures domestically and internationally, and has given a number of professional, high-profile seminars throughout his career including for the Academy of Doctors of Audiology annual convention in Las Vegas, USA.
