Join us online for this webinar hosted by ADOHTA VIC/TAS Branch on Oral Health and Pregnancy featuring guest speaker Dr Annika Wilson, Dentist.

This presentation will cover the importance of oral health during pregnancy, the impact of poor oral health on maternal and infant outcomes, and the role of healthcare professionals in promoting oral health. It will also provide a final PhD research update regarding integrating oral health care into Tasmanian antenatal care settings by the presenter. By the end of the presentation, attendees will have a clearer understanding of the significance of oral health in pregnancy, the current gaps in practice, and actionable steps to enhance oral health promotion and care within clinical settings.

About Dentist Dr Annika Wilson BHScDent/MDent, MPH

Dr Annika Wilson is a clinical dentist, PhD Candidate, and Senior Project Officer with the Tobacco Control Research Group at the University of Tasmania. Annika has experience in qualitative and mixed methods research examining public health and oral health issues. She is also a lecturer in the Tasmanian School of Medicine and Postgraduate Public Health Programs at the University of Tasmania. Annika has been involved in a number of publications and conferences relating to health, including implementation science and exploratory research.
