Attend this vital evening CPD event presented by Clinical Psychologist Lanhowe (Lan) Chen at ADA House WA.

The ADOHTA WA Branch and DHAA WA Committee invites you to this joint evening event where Clinical Psychologist Lan Chen will deliver a presentation on Understanding and Managing Burnout and Other Occupational Stressors.

There are numerous challenges (and rewards) of working in health care. This presentation aims to provide clarity on burnout and its contributors, as well as to outline other occupational stressors that health care workers commonly face, with the goal of providing insights and tips for ways to mitigate and manage them.

  • Food and drinks provided;  1hr scientific CPD.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define burnout and its three ‘pillars’ in symptom-identification.
  • Describe the worker-workplace fit and 5 contributors to burnout (work demands, rewards/recognition, autonomy, supportive culture, meaning).
  • Distinguish between other common stressors like compassion fatigue, moral stress.
  • Learn and implement strategies and concepts like the circle of influence, assertiveness, boundaries (emotionally and practically), accessing social supports, and further resources.

Last day to register 18 March 2025.
