Helen and Lisa are forensically trained dentists and aim to show you some interesting aspects of Forensic Odontology and why it's significant clinically. You may be familiar with dental ID, but did you know there's a whole other scope of work we're involved with?

Helen will present an introduction to Forensic Odontology and also talk about the work they do with the WA Police Force Missing Persons Team. Helen will outline the important role all dental practitioners play in Forensic Odontology, highlighting the significance of maintaining quality clinical records in line with the AHPRA Code of Conduct.   Lisa will present her research project on bite marks and how this might be significant to you clinically.
